Some say the world will end in fire, Some say in ice. From what i've tasted of desire i hold those who favour fire. But if i had to perish twice, i think i know enough of hate and to know that for destruction, ice is also great and would suffice.

Merry Christmas.
People say you only live once, but they are as wrong about that as they are about everything. In the darkest moments before dawn, a woman returns to her bed, what life is she leading? Was it the same life she living half an hour ago, a day ago, a year ago. Who is this man? Do they lead separate lives? Or is it a single life shared?
A storm approaches and still over the horizon, but there is lightning in the air. Are either of them aware of the gathering turbulence, can they feel the crackle of electricity in the wind? Or are they only aware of the power they generate between themselves?
The First Hint Of this storm is not a thunder clap, it is a knock.
When you love someone you open yourself up to suffering. That's the sad truth. Maybe they'll break your heart, maybe you'll break their heart and never be able to look at yourself in the same way. Those are the risks. You see two people and you think they belong together, but nothing happens. The thought of losing so much control over personal happiness is unbearable. That's the burden. Like wings, they have weight on our backs, but they are the burden that lifts us, Burdens which allow us to fly.
